Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back has always been a top 3 MCR song for me and one of the few I’ve never seen live. They played it Night 2 in Toronto and Night 2 in Boston. The anxiety of them possibly playing it in Brooklyn while also knowing my luck means I’ll still miss it, is killing me. Boston Night 2 setlist would have been magical for me. I will keep going to shows on this tour until I see my song…

I NEED that moment. That song, imo, is the MCR-iest MCR song and perfectly encapsulates the band - heavy riffs, deep lyrics, huge chorus, guitar solo, and Gerard being Gerard.

 

It's funny that's one of the songs in their catalogue that feels the least like MCR to me.

 

honestly nothing on DD feels 'MCR' to me, even the songs i like lol

 

luckily the only two DD songs we got in Boston Night 1 were songs from that album I don't hate (Na Na Na is fine, Destroya is fun)

I was so bummed they didn't play Save Yourself at the first Boston show. I don't think they played anything from Danger Days other than Nanana and Destroya (which was admittedly rad). I wish they played more danger days

 

Summertime is a fave mcr song tbh.
