I mean, clearly, this week's biggest release is The Midnight - Heroes.

My new song releases today! "Middle Of My Words" is the first single from my upcoming third LP Accidental Days. The playlist below starts with the new song and then leads into songs/artists that influenced the album, including Mae, The Dear Hunter, Thrice, Jimmy Eat World, House of Heroes, etc. My producer and I are really aiming for bigger soundscapes on this album, and I think he's hitting it out the park. Early listeners have compared this single to Matchbox 20 with a hint of Beggars/Major/Minor-era Thrice.

"Middle Of My Words" is about learning to own up to the pain that we cause with our words, even if it's totally unintentional, and even if we meant good yet caused harm; and it's about me learning the importance of not merely saying "I'm sorry you misunderstood me" or "I'm sorry you took it that way" but genuinely, fully repenting: "I'm sorry I hurt you."

TRUTH! I love how they call it the third installment of the Kids trilogy. Kids is probably my favorite 30 min piece of art.

Armor For Sleep was one of my favorite bands in highschool. What a day.
