Tldr Hornswoggle lost his phone and asked for a mutual friends number from Punk (it was Chad Gilbert not Hayley) and Punk saw it as him being used for clout and they stopped being friends

Managed to work Punk out of the company with a single line (thats completely in line with his characters twitter account)

 

Swoggle confirmed in his book it wasn't even Hayley, it was Chad. It's entirely possible that it was him bullshitting but I don't think it was ever proven one way or the other.

If that happens with someone as tenured and universally respected as Christopher Daniels in charge of talent, it would happen with those guys too.

 

Speaking of Misawa, I wish his match with Joe was closer in quality to how Joe's match with Kobashi was. It was a solid match but it just did not live up to the hype.

That Joe vs. Kobashi match was life changing and got me back into wrestling again.

 

Need to do a deep dive on 90's AJPW soon.

Unfortunately the most i know about Misawa's in ring work is from playing as AKI-Man on Revenge as a kid.

 

Now i'm looking up the roster for virtual pro wrestling 64. Now mad they never localized this so i could do a Minoru Suzuki vs Andre the Giant match.

 

I love this friendship.
