I enjoyed it for like the first 3 listens, but it fell off pretty hard for me after that.

 

Need to listen to that soon, concept sounds cool/up my alley

RE: Butt rock (Cock rock?) I used to have quite the affinity for Three Days Grace, one of my first posts on AP was being mad that the one after One X didn't get a review, lol. V glad all those posts are gone hahaha

 

I miss some of the pop punk bands from the WNDR threads, I still like a good amount of them, but I don't really listen to them much other than some Set Your Goals and Polar Bear Club. Crazy how a bad album can just absolutely destroy careers

 

One X had some good songs though like Time of Dying, Let it Die and It's all over.

I never got the term butt rock, I'm curious what bands fall into that category for everyone? Staind, System of a Down, God Smack? To me it just seems to be popular rock from the 90s/early 2000s.

 

SOAD is nu-metal, bands like the others you mentioned plus Nickleback, Seether, that sort of thing.

One of the few good bands to come out of the late 90s post grunge era imo. And they're super consistent with releasing quality albums even still.

FOB post hiatus is trash. Everythnig else is great stuff.

 

At least check out Disloyal Order, Headfirst Slide and Coffee's for Closers.

 

36, Sevendust, Deftones, Blindside and Incubus still have awesome stuff coming out. All of those bands have great discographies. I thought nu metal was like rap rock, so I never would have placed them there.

Dance Dance is the best FOB music video.

 

I can get down with that but IMO they don't have a ton of great ones.

A harder one would be what is the best Blink or Sum 41 video? Now those bands have some super funny and classic videos.

 

FOB to me isn't a band that has a clear best song, I'd say there are several candidates on Folie and a couple on SRAR.

 

This is dumb but it bothers me, why is it "The Take Over, the Breaks Over" instead of the "break's" over?

 

I mean if we're talking fave fob songs I'm with The Kids Aren't All Right, What A Catch Donnie, Dark Alley, and After Life of the Party

I think they have a ton of fantastic songs but I don't like a single album of theirs all the way through.

 

Blindside is awesome. Never would've considered them a nu-metal band though.
