i thought they said Valhalla was the last AC game of its kind and that the next ones would be free to play multiplayer or something

 

the live service AC game got cancelled but the downsizing back to the scope of the first few games is still happening

 

There’s apparently another larger project either named or codenamed AC: Infinity or something like that in the works, and this Mirage game is a smaller title to tide people over until that one’s ready

Haven’t heard anything about it getting canceled

Feels like Microsoft struggles hard with managing studios. Letting 343 botch the release of what should’ve been their biggest release is rough. Gameplay wise the game is there. But for a game you want as a live service, the lack of content is abysmal.

 

Just got the email that says I can complete my purchase for the Steam deck. But do I want to? I had preordered during all the hype but now idk. I don’t play a ton of games anymore but I thought it could be a cool way to get back in. Should I do it? Anyone have any insight?

 

truly loved my time with Infinite until it became stale with nothing to look forward to in the future.

after the battle royale boom (which got me back into pvp shooters) it was actually nice to go back to an arena but there needs to be more for this Halo to succeed.

 

I would kill for a steam deck and plan on putting in my waiting spot soon to hopefully get one for Christmas

 

every time i play an AC game i spend just as much time taking screenshots as i do actually playing the game lol

 

Had a weird graphics error on my Series X, turned it on from rest mode and all the colors were washed out and all the text was illegible. I put my TV in Movie mode and I could see shit. Tried to fix it via the display options, no dice. So I ended up unplugging it and my TV, plugged them back in, and it fixed itself. Just weird.

 

how long has dragon quest xi been on gamepass? literally just noticed it, ive been checking the steam page for it every day for weeks just in case it goes on sale (and its wishlisted so ill get an email) but its been available for me to play this whole time?!

 

Wait so AC is going back to the style of like AC2 and 3 and dropping the RPG stuff? I'm actually happy if that's true, I loved Valhalla and Odyssey but they were soooo time consuming

 

yes, it will be a back to basics entry with a heavy AC1 vibe. Instead of levelling as progression it will be heavily reliant on crafting.

Then after that we'll get the GAAS title Infinity, which will double or even triple down on the RPG mechanics of Origins etc.

 

Idk what GAAS means tbh lol but the first half of that is great news
