Melissa has made it clear she realized the show underutilized her

 

Not surprised about Melissa leaving, but sad to see Alex go. Both of them deserved proper sendoffs.

 

Losing Alex is going to be a really huge blow, as would Melissa if they actually used her more

 

Sucks to lose both Melissa and Alex, especially since the latter was pretty much a go-to cast member for Weekend Update. Feel bad for Aristotle. Guy never had a chance. Glad Melissa can finally get some peace after what seems like a pretty tumultuous experience.

 

Melissa leaving sucks, but she's been so openly unhappy it's not surprising.

Alex will be rough, but at least Mikey is still around

Aristotle never stood a chance, feels like he could have taken some of Alex or Mikey's small parts but he never got a chance

 

Sarah Squirm is gonna have a lot of room to break out this season

 

I liked Aristotle, wish they would have let him find his footing for a few more seasons

 

Alex is a huge hit, damn.

 

Losing Alex really, really sucks. He’s not always the star of the show, but he’s easily been one of the most reliable cast members in its last stretch. Thankfully I think JAJ will be able to fill those shoes to some degree

 

Bummer for Alex. In a less-crowded era he definitely would have reached Sudeikis level

Wait were Melissa and Alex let go? I assumed Aristotle was (which is a shame, he had a ton of potential) but I figured those two quit

Really bummed. Like you guys said it was only a matter of time for Melissa and I'm sad to see her go but happy that she'll get to do something that better utilizes her. Alex is a huge bummer, he was such a great utility player. Even worse is I don't really see him getting any kind of breakout role yet anyway, I hope he gets some great opportunities and doesn't fade into obscurity

 

I'm honestly pretty excited about Melissa leaving. Have yet to laugh at a single one of her bits. Bummer about Alex and Aristotle though.

 

Melissa deserved way better than what she was given.

 

Apparently Alex just had a kid last year so I think him and Melissa were ready to leave
