  3. Spiritfarer is leaving Gamepass so if you have PS+ this'll be your chance. Also one of my most favorite games of all time ever

Stoked to finally try AC Origins, and hope everyone checks out Deathloop, it’s great.

also I’m only like 20 hrs into XC3 and it’s perfect

I’m playing origins again on gamepass, truly a marvel in open world environment design. Yeah people criticize it because of how much is just sand, but that’s ancient Egypt for you and the huge cities and oasis type areas are stunning

Hot take, but Origins is the best AC game.

Thought Odyssey was a little overwhelming and the combat in Valhalla felt off or something. Hoping to stick with Origins after hearing so much praise for it

Valhalla is my favorite, brotherhood is probably the best. If unity had a better story it would be the best of the old style ones since they’ve ironed out all the bugs and stuff but Arno is a shitty protagonist. Origins is amazing tho and like I always say I need to give odyssey another shot

I couldn't really get into Origins after playing Odyssey first. Felt very much the same but worse / just in Egypt

I think I preferred Odyssey to Origins, mostly cus of the setting and the sailing. But Origins is still extremely impressive and such a gorgeous world.

I’ll always think of 2 the most fondly, but I'm sure a lot of that is nostalgia. I do want to run through the Ezio trilogy again sometime soon so it'll be interesting to see how they hold up.

Black Flag and Syndicate are up there for me too. Unity is hands down my least favorite, it was such a slog to get through and didn't really have any interesting gameplay hook to it like the grappling hook in Syndicate or sailing in 4.

    AC2>AC4>Syndicate>Odyssey>Origins>Brotherhood>Revelations>AC3>AC1>Rogue>Unity

    I haven't played Valhalla yet

Literally just don't remember it haha like I think I had fun with it, which I can say about all but Unity, but I remember it just being watered down Black Flag

syndicate is a damn good time and london as a city is one of the best open world cities to date. say what you want about ubisoft but their open world maps are immaculately designed. far cry 4 and 5 as well as several assassins creed games have some of the best feeling worlds i've played in. far cry 3 is a tad overrated in that regard but makes up for it by establishing that classic far cry gameplay loop.

I liked the smaller scale of Syndicate. I think the newer games (Valhalla and Odyssey in particular) are just overwhelming.

valhalla is not as overwhelming as it seems because the story is a straight shot if you want it to be, unlike origins and odyssey which had really bad level gating where you HAD to go do side quests in order to reach the necessary level for the next story mission. the side stuff is much less intrusive in Valhalla and you're much more likely to casually stumble across much of it through the course of your regular story adventures, which are extremely engaging missions that follow a specific arc from zone to zone that connects the entirety of the continent. its very, very well crafted and cuts down on that overwhelming "i dont even know where to start with this" feeling the others give you one you're let into the open world. also the base building mechanic is very well done and is an engaging slice of side content that feels meaningful next to the main story.

I really liked it. It was you fighting and killing assassins and a glimpse at the other side of the story.

I’m more disappointed I took those L’s especially because now I’m really up against the big boys in multiversus
