  1. Edging for Halloween lol that's a new one for me, but I like it. I'm going to try and squeeze in 31 between September and October because I'm getting married two days before Halloween and there's no way I'll be able to do one a day that month.

  2. I don't remember who it was that talks about Killer Klowns from Outer Space every chance they can, but my wife and I went into Spirit Halloween this last weekend and they had a whole Killer Klowns section.

  7. That's based on the same story as the one with Elliot Page and Catherine Keener. Weird that they were released in the same year

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

Watched it 2 days ago and I recommend it. The mood was very A24-ish in the dread department and then the third act just goes for it in a very Guillermo del Toro sort of way. It’s pretty vicious and graphic at times, which I found surprising and refreshing for a studio film.

My mom was in town for a few days and she’s a massive horror fan just like me. We did Antlers, The Night House and Prey. We enjoyed all three.

The Night House was great, some really stunning imagery and a story that was not at all predictable.

I guess maybe not. I just clicked Horror and saw a tons of listings. Just scrolled through them again to see a lot of B-stuff.

  16. Just looked through the horror section.

Some classics. American Werewolf in London, The Changeling, Black Christmas, The Exorcist III. I haven't seen the first two myself, but I always hear good things and they're on my list.

House of the Devil, Let Us Prey, The Love Witch, Sinister, The Wailing, You're Next, and You Won't Be Alone are all worth watching imo if there's any of them you haven't seen. Deathgasm is also fun, but I feel like this one is very specific to my tastes.

Triangle! This movie is so underrated. I recommend this movie to everyone.

  18. Still need to watch Hatching. Antlers is pretty good aside from the representation issues and some really bad CG at the end. There are some really good practical effects and Plemens is always great.

  19. There are also Last Drive-In versions of The Changeling, Black Christmas, The Exorcist III, House of the Devil, The Love Witch, and Deathgasm on Shudder.

I would loathe an A24 remake of it. The original isn't their style of film at all, and all the fun would be sucked out of it.

  22. I saw it alone with a couple of friends so I can't speak from a crowd perspective but in terms of quality, it is definitely good enough to see in theaters imo. One of my favorites of the year
