As far as "butt rock" goes, Evans Blue circa 06-07 dramatically crush all of their peers without exception.

 

Infinity on High is FOB's best album, AB/AP is their worst.

 

I disagree.

 

Breaking Benjamin I like a lot, esp their first 2 albums. Three Days Grace and Seether also have their songs, but not really that great. I wouldn't say LP counts. They are awesome!

I can get down with a few Three Doors Down songs. "Away From The Sun" is a jam

 

I actually like their first 3 albums for the most part. After that I think their sound became too bland, but I remember them being really big early on though.

 

Creed is really good. Scott Stap is a genius

 

American Beauty/American Psycho is my favorite FOB record.

 

Maybe I need to give Folie A Deux another chance. But I am randomly seeing a lot of love for something I've already written off as a record I really really don't like haha.

 

I always forget how spectacular the run of Wonder What's Next-->This Type of Thinking-->Vena Sera-->Sci-Fi Crimes is.

I didn't hate the ending of HIMYM. I loved the ending of Lost. I didn't love the ending to Breaking Bad.

 

There's a thread for entertainment and we just talked about the HIMYM ending. I liked it as well.

Oh man did I despise the HIMYM ending. I don't mind what they were trying to go for, but the pacing was so utterly off.

 

There is just no point in that show where that could have been a good ending.

 

They made better pop music.

To me it the HIMYM ending makes sense the show was a Ted and Robin story the whole time. Why would he keep telling his kids how much he slept and connected with Robin the whole show lol.

I do think the Mother was his true soul mate, but she was taken from him. Years later after his kids are grown, he just wants to spend the latter of his life with the one he spent a ton of his best times with? I dunno, I think they were also going for a dramatic moment people wouldn't see coming and then end with a hopeful/happy moment that mirrors the first EP as a nice call back.

I get people not liking it, but to me that's what they were probably going for.

 

Can we at least agree they made pretty bad "punk" music (Pax-Am Days)?

 

I like the idea of the ending, but it was just executed so poorly. Not only in the episode, but given the last few seasons. I think the real issue is the show went on a little too long and they damaged most of the characters in the process (Barney and Robin being the worst).

I think Pax Am Days is kind of a blast, honestly...

 

Plus the chemistry between Ted and the mother was so good (something we hadn't seen in a Ted romantic interest since the first season) that killing her off was a bad move.

 

Yeah she was such a highlight for that season.
