I think this is my favorite from the new tracks so far

I'm so excited for this album, everything released so far has given me some high expectations for the rest of the album!

 

The beginning of the track feels a bit too Gaga for me but I like what it flows into.

 

Hard disagree, the entire song rules.

 

Another certified banger from Rina, absolutely love that chorus

 

Easily the best single yet. Really showcases her "all over the place but in a good way" songwriting

 

I love every single so far and am pumped for the album

 

She played a new song called Hurricanes at Outside Lands Fest last night

 

her accent is so cute

I'll be honest, the songs so far have been very Gaga. I'm worried that the uniqueness of what I loved about her debut and the Japanese inspired songs will be largely absent off her new album at this point.

Remaining optimistic but I think I'll wait for the release before listening to anything else.

It's wild how Hold The Girl is probably one of my favorite pop songs of the year, yet the only single that grabbed me so far. Something about this era isn't clicking for me so far. Hoping I'll be into the album nevertheless.

 

I feel bad, but yeah these songs aren't grabbing me like the last album yet... None of them are bad, but also they aren't wowing me

 

yeah, I’m not sure what it is. Listened to three singles and they all fell flat for me. Hoping that all the songs work better in context. I love, love, love Sawayama and want to love this as well

 

She's fully transitioned into a pop star at this point. All very Gaga. I miss the unique sound and genre bending that she did incredibly well on her debut with the sprinkle of Japanese inspired lyrical masterfulness that she brought to the table.

Hold The Girl is her best of the singles so far for sure but yeah, holding out hope for the rest of the album at this point.

 

She said in this interview that her new album isn’t SAWAYAMA and it takes more from country than nu metal

 

Not hearing a lot of country in these singles either tho!
