massively disappointing considering he was being linked with teams like West Ham and Wolves earlier in the window. doubt he'd start for either, but at least he'd get the chance to play in England at one of those teams, but instead he's out to Greece? at least he'll presumably get to play for Forest next season, I suppose? feels like a baffling transfer though, surely he had a better option than spending a season out on loan?

at least he'll (presumably??) be playing week in week out ahead of the World Cup.

You'd hope so. If he's not good enough to start every week in Geeece, then I doubt he's good enough to go to the World Cup. That said, I don't know much about South Korea's strength in depth with their forwards. Are you South Korean by any chance?

nah, I'm English, just a fan of Korean football as a result of playing FM saves there. I have a particular affinity for Uijo since my first save there was with his first club, Seongnam FC, and he was massive for me.

I think at the moment he's the starting striker for Korea, but he's been facing competition from Cho Guesung (iirc), who's a bit of an up-and-comer in the K League in the last year or two, and there's a few other decent strikers in the K League who could see an appearance, like Cho Youngwook. I imagine Uijo still starts at the World Cup unless he really doesn't get off to a good start in Greece, but he did fairly well in Ligue 1 and he still has a lot of good will saved up from the 2018 Asian Games where he was the top scorer, where the win got Son Heungmin his military exemption, so I can't imagine him being dropped too easily.

I guess there's a slight added benefit that he'll be playing alongside Hwang Inbeom (a Korean central midfielder who also recently signed for Olympiacos), but eh.

  8. Who is more dumb in this situation: United offering that much, or Ajax turning it down?

Ajax will not accept a bid until Chelsea soften their stance on Hakim Ziyech - they need a quality replacement and Ziyech is the only one they've identified that can perform at CL-level for them in what is a tough group. CFC not playing ball though!

  10. What an absurd announcement video haha

  11. Chelsea are probably looking at how much Ajax made from Martinez and how much they could make from Antony so I don't blame them for sticking to whatever price they've listed for Ziyech. Ajax have the money to do it.

Betis v Osasuna should be a good one tonight. Both teams have 100% records so far.

Very thankful for the ESPN La Liga deal making it so easy to watch all these games.

Watching Celta-Girona. Really hoping Luca gets a run out in the team soon.

Manager wants him. Whether he’s worth that or not I don’t think bidding that is dumb if the manager wants him.

Napoli vs. Inter has been a wild game. Wild ebb and flows by both teams in who is in the ascendancy.

Some force behind that strike, the kind you don't want to get in the way of. Just after Osasuna struck the post, too.

Carvalho has played really well, shame he didn't score after doing the hardest part.
