I love both, but obviously Clarity

 

I’ve ever connected with Clarity the way some people do, though I get the appeal. TAYF I still love outside of 1-2 solid songs.

I am fully willing to accept that it's because I was listening to TAYF when it dropped but was too young for Clarity hence picked that up later.

And I probably listen to Clarity more nowadays too.

Is that I, I don’t get to vote for TAYF again after this round it seems

TAYF has now become underrated on this site imo. I even find myself doing so.

 

Clarity has grown on me a lot over time but it doesn’t hit me emotionally and immediately the way “Great Romances” or “You Know How I Do” or “Ghost Man on Third” do

 

TBS is one of those bands I just never had any sort of moment with. I think my first exposure to them was probably the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack and I did not like what I heard. Tried multiple times over the years to get into them, but no dice!

 

Aside from Paranoid, Clarity might be my favourite album in this round, but I really, really do not want a Jimmy Eat World album to win this tournament, so I think I'll be sitting out this round except for the Sabbath x Weezer one

 

I was always huge on TBS from the get go, but it doesn't stand a chance with Jimmy Eat World for me ;d still can't decide if I like TAYF or WYWTB better. Liked the remaster and the demos this year though, made me revisit it with headphones on.

 

You Know How I Do is my favorite song from either record. Banger

 

Static Prevails was cool. Jim definitely has the better voice compared to Tom. Digits was the highlight. I'd say I prefer it to anything post Bleed American that I've heard.

I've tried for 20+ years to get into Clarity but just can't outside of Just Watch the Fireworks. TAYF is the only TBS album I go back to. TBS here.

 

I have no issue saying Clarity is the better album, but TAYF it is...

 

I've always felt kinda weird about calling them JEW for that reason haha. Just kinda strikes me as odd lol

 

I have always chosen to type out the band's name in it's entirety because of this.

I was a moderate fan for awhile and then had a bad breakup and listened to them a bunch and developed that personal connection. I also like that Adam has a very unique voice. He’s not a good live singer, but he’s good on record and you IMMEDIATELY know it’s him, which I value more and more

Adam was the problem, for me. I don't think he's good even on record! But I do always know it's him when he's singing, I'll grant you that.
