Story of the Year – “Real Life” Video

Love it! It has a throwback sound to it (maybe a mix of page avenue and black swan?). I do wish Phil was still involved though.

 

Wow, this caught me off guard. This is really good

 

The band was oddly my intro into "harder" music back in 2003 when I found them on lpassociation/a linkin park forum.

Their weekly podcast has been fun to listen to every Friday since they started it during the pandemic. Looking forward to hearing the new album.

Yeah it always struck me as odd too. It seemed like they were all on the same page and then it was like boom Phil is gone. I am just happy that they are back. Such a fun band. I just wish they would come to Jersey or Philly.

 

I had no idea he had left, but it seems his departure happened almost at the same time as Adam rejoining. I have exactly zero knowledge of the inner workings of that band, though.

 

There was a political scandal he seemed to have been loosely implicated in around the time he got kicked out of the band. Always wondered if that played a part in it.
