This is a guess but my expectation is that a lot of people who hold college loan debt but did not receive a college degree were Pell Grant recipients

 

i just went to login to my loan portal to check some of this stuff. looks like everyone has the same idea as its down lol

 

i mean those people should really be forgiven no questions asked.

"yeah you took out this loan that didn't give you anything and instead caused you to waste a few years of your life. but you gotta keep paying for it lol"

 

that's fine, i was thinking about buying an electric car in the next few years anyways

 

I mean every public policy is going to have exceptions that don't fit the intent, and when you start to get into nitty gritty details like that it starts to build up the paperwork and effort involved to get it. So doing something like "Everyone that got a pell grant will get more assistance" is a broad way to target the relief to people that are way more likely to have more in loans, grown up poorer, still be poor, etc.

 

Since when did he ever promise that?

I’ve been shot at in Philly when I was copping drugs in Kensington, also had a knife pulled on me and got robbed, also had the absolute shit beat out of me after being accused of using a fake 20 to buy drugs, all of which I now carry significant trauma around because of

I’ve never had anything like that happen back when I would cop shit so I have no idea why I had that dream.

 

Also I know Biden said this is the final extension, but he also said that when he extended it last September. So I don’t buy it. If the pressure is kept on him and it’s shown to be popular he’ll do it again.

So if I am reading this right, it sounds and reads like if you ever received one Pell Grant you get the $20k.

 

Is the income level gonna be determined based on last years return?

 

yeah the last 2 years or so my dreams have been so vivid to the point of waking up and being confused as to whether it was a dream or real.

 

Wait, if I'm reading this right, does this mean that as long as you make payments, you won't get any interest on your loans?

That is a pretty solid work around of them not being able to do anything with the interest rates without Congress.
