Player's Log: Hades.

I finally beat Hades for the first time. What a rush. I think it took me a while to get the feel for the game and be able to consistently progress beyond Asphodel, but over the last week or so it's clicked and I've been playing a lot better. I figured out how to use certain boons and abilities better and I think I have a better handle on the game overall. I'm planning to keep it in the main rotation still until I get the epilogue and unlock some of the other weapon upgrade stuff I'm interested in; after that, it'll probably slide into the "pick up and play sometimes" category (like Mario Kart/Smash, BOTW DLC, etc.). I could see myself continuing to sink a lot of time into Hades and really having fun with upgrading everything, but my TBP list is way too long as it is, and I'm generally not too worried about being a completionist, so this'll be good.

But man. Such a fun game. I've really been having a great time with it.

Up next: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (I'm about halfway through), Immortals: Fenyx Rising (also about halfway), and Skyrim (some indeterminate percentage through, haha). I haven't been playing much the past few months, but lately I've gotten back into it, so I'm excited for the coming weeks/months.

Also I have a bunch of stuff still to play on my 3DS, and a PS5 and library of games coming to me in a couple months... but one thing at a time.

 

I only ever cleared hades once so I’m gonna need to buy it when it leaves gamepass

lol no one is available to talk on the phone about a refund so I have to use their website but their website is blocked on my work network so I have to use my terrible cell phone data and that won't work either!!!!

 

oh my god their chat bot said i need an agent to help! and it closed the chat on me! and i tried to start again and it says

"back so soon? it seems chat has not been of help to you, please try again tomorrow"

 

I go through my bank online once a month and cancel stuff I don’t use. As @Penlab said, they are just expecting you to forget it. I actually caught a fraudulent charge of someone using my ATT internet account charging me for DirectTV. Hope you enjoyed that free month buddy!

I usually set reminders and I just didn't for this one I guess! I only ever buy PS Plus if I can get it for like, 33% off or more lol

 

Amazon's been good with refunds anytime I forget to cancel Prime. If I ever forgot to cancel Hulu I just used it for another month. I don't think I've had any bad luck with subscriptions like that.

 

I really need to go back and unlock the epilogue in Hades. I cleared it I think maybe 6 times so it wouldn't take much, but I probably haven't picked it up in over a year.

 

I did like 60 runs when I played, never beat the big man and never came back after taking a break from it, rebought it on playstation and am going to try again with a new save

 

it's an endless loop - when my launch day PS5 arrived and wouldn't turn on, it took me days before I could finally reach someone who would help me return it

 

This game looks like so much fun

 

You mean the first ending, when you've beaten the final boss the tenth time? There's another ending that requires a bit more work, building Affinity with all the gods

 

I’ve been on that multiversus grind and I am a filthy Finn main but gosh dang it’s getting brutal meanwhile my ranking has jumped up to like 700k.

My brother also plays a bunch and I asked to see his ranking and home boy is at 70k because he is a bugs man and it just ain’t fair.

 

Ah really? I only knew about the ending after 10 wins. Guess I've got more to do than I realised!
