Weezer with Cold was one of the oddest bills I remember ever seeing; was such a bad fit that cold left the tour, understandably.

This reminded me of the DRUGS, Hit the Lights, Like Moths to Flames, Sparks the Rescue tour. I mean it kinda made sense but it still felt a little weird

I was at that Jones Beach show. Thankful I was NOT in the Orchestra as it was late Sep and the tide was high so water spilled out into the orchestra seats plus it was a cold (no pun intended) fucking night.

Run the Jewels and Mitski (before she got big) opening for Lorde was also kind of weird. RTJ especially

Rivers is friends with Scooter (from Cold), he actually wrote some songs with them for Year Of The Spider.

  8. This tour was so much fun. Loved seeing all the suburban moms who brought their kids to see Lorde witness RTJ.

Ya it was a really fun mix, but just so weird watching RTJ there lol like half the crowd was standing and hyped and half couldn't have cared less

Tub Ring got thrown on a show with a Too Pure to Die, Black My Heart, Burn in Silence and Cassius tour package in 2006. It did not end well for Tub Ring. I always thought the Senses Fail/Hollywood Undead/Haste the Day/Brokencyde tour was an odd touring combo. Dragonforce/Horse the band/All That Remains was interesting to see. I saw that Peter McPoland is opening for twenty one pilots. It's crazy to think he won a spot on the last non touring Warped Tour.

oh yeah I'm aware, I believe he co-wrote "Stupid Girl" too -- but this tour and the bad reception has just always stuck with me over the years.

Also Weezer and Panic at the Disco coheadlining tour. It was an odd pairing.

I saw Dua Lipa open for Fall Out Boy. You won’t believe me, but there were several brutal fights that day. I still have a picture of blood on the ground and I saw someone getting loaded into an ambulance as I was leaving.

weezer and panic is pretty normal. same management and their current stuff isn't that dissimilar

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

Black Keys w Arctic Monkeys opening in arenas was a weird tour, if only bc AM easily could (and have been since) playing the same kind of venues.

Also not really a tour, but it's still weird to me that FJM was drummer for Fleet Foxes for 3-4 years

Oh ya speaking of FJM, the tour with Jason Isbell was kind of weird. I mean it makes sense like it's not crazy, but there was a weird vibe at my show. But to be fair it was also an outdoor show and it was in the 50s and raining. Still though.. felt like I was the only person there excited for FJM

i think that’s, obviously, true for AM now but that tour occurred between Humbug and AM and, at least in the states, AM was definitely not playing arenas at that time

FJM is kind of a weird pairing with anyone. i’d take “an evening with…” type shows at this point, he has enough material and warrants the draw

This was my first Weezer show! I remember it being freezing and my sister heckling The Start ("When's The End!?").
