Looks like Okada and Ospreay put on a banger this week.

I'm hoping Okada loses the suitcase because I want Kenny/Okada at WK and I don't think that's too crazy an expectation.

  3. I think Kenny/Ospreay is pretty likely for WK in a singles match

Does he still do fun shit like that? I miss when he used to poke fun at everyones gimmicks. The bullet eating thing was top notch.

A case can be made that Colt Cabana is one of most influential wrestlers of the past 20 years. Not because of anything he did in the ring, because of what he did outside of it. Colt pretty much created the entire model most wrestlers use to make money and market themselves outside of the WWE machine. Podcasts, vlogs, online merch stores, social media, Colt was the first wrestler to utilize that all of that over a decade ago.

The Bucks and Kevin Owens (who was also an early adopter of Colt's model before he went to WWE) had all said as much that Colt has had a gigantic positive impact on the pro wrestling industry.

Wait this is about BPJ? lol

Dude he had his chance when they put him in the MJF Arthur Ashe angle on the heels of the positive fan reaction to his DSOTR appearance. They gave him the ball at a pivotal moment for him, he dropped it, and he hasn't stepped up since.

Same with Brian Cage. Don't pretend that TK never gave you a shot.

He wore that shirt that said 'cancel cancel culture' and has been a mega geek every since.

Yeah I don’t buy any of that. Dude has given an opportunity he didn’t even really deserve just based on his last name. He doesn’t have any charisma and is very generic in the ring. He’s been given the same opportunity that guys like Hobbs, Eddie Kingston, Dante Martin, The Acclaimed, etc all have and every one of those talents took the ball and ran with it. He’d still be floating around the indies or be irrelevant in MLW if it weren’t for AEW.

He also would be irrelevant as fuck if his god damn name wasn't 'Brian Pillman' lmao.

So i don't get this idea on the Punk/Hangman thing of "the promo Hangman cut was unprofessional and deserved a receipt". Hangman did what Punk has literally done to other people his entire career, cut a shoot promo that included elements of real life backstage conflict. So it's ok for him to do that to HHH but it's outrageous for anyone to do it to him?

To be fair from everything I've heard from Meltzer about Pillman Sr, he was a right wing nutjob too. He used to go on right wing talk radio all the time.

Having shit politics is kind of an expectation if you're a pro wrestler. i think with BPJ it's more that he's a cringe ass nerd who is mediocre at wrestling on top of having shit politics. I mean how much do people overlook the politics of Jericho or Bobby Fish, ect because they enjoy their work?

was playing quiplash with a bunch of non-wrestling fans and the final round was "create a wrestling move using the word fork." and it broke my heart when no one voted for "the figure fork."

I don't think being a right wing nutjob in the 90s was as bad as now haha, but also Pillman Sr lived for working people outside the ring. I don't think a single word he said in his professional lifetime could be taken without a massive grain of salt.

It doesn't even have to do with left/right wing politics for BPJ, he's just your typical privileged white dude who thinks everyone is 'too sensitive these days'. He also has no charisma and very mediocre at best mic skills so no one gives a fuck.
He gained support from the Pillman DSOTR but then he lost it with me personally after that stuuuuupid fucking shirt he not only wore but flaunted on instagram like some hot take wanna be douchebag.
