In related news, Sparta announced a new album and single

 

haven't been listenable since porcelain, it's basically just jim solo now

 

i say that but them also announcing tucker rule drumming on some of it has me moderately interested

 

yeah the two tracks were terrible lol

 

Sounds like sleepercar meets sparta. Not in love but I like both singles much more than the last sparta album. Jim's solo album sounded much more like old sparta than these tracks do funny enough.

Never got into Sparta

 

the first two hold up among with the best of anything anyone from the ATDI has put out but it immediately falls off a cliff and hasn't stopped falling yet

 

threes is better than that description but yeah

 

i think it’s more just disappointing bc the potential of adding keeley from engine down was so high and it barely feels like he’s on the album

 

i didn’t bring engine down baggage into it at the time, i mainly think it’s like… too u2-ass ambitious for its own good, and gets lost in that in the second half especially. but “erase it again” is so amazing i don’t care

 

Thought Jim Wards last album was fantastic. Sounded like Sparta
