As far as who didn't know the Hangman aspect of the promo was coming, no staff were aware it was happening. We're also told Hangman was supposedly unaware as well. Edited to include clarity on the promos that were said to have caused the issues.“

 

I think this is all largely a bit overblown. Probably a sizable chunk of truth at the core but nothing AEW can’t weather.
