Yeah, the latest Bon Iver album was a miss for me.

 

hey ma is one of his best but i agree overall

 

Take the same 3 from the s/t but swap in “Skinny Love” and “Blood Bank” for me

The last album had some amazing moments (Hey, Ma and U (Man Like)) but ultimately got too messy and lost in whatever jam band/improv thing they were doing.

 

I agree the last album is inconsistent, but it has some gems. Naeem is a banger.

 

It's not bad, but I can only remember a handful of songs each time I listen

 

There’s an episode of song exploder on naeem (I think) that gives a good idea of how they created the songs for that album

 

im mostly kinda just tired of him (and everyone) using the OP-1 to death. pick up a guitar lol.

 

I only really love For Emma and even then it loses me a bit lyrically. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When something like this happens I feel so disconnected, I have absolutely 0 opinions either way on Radiohead, that kind of rock music exists in a parallel universe from me

 

turns out Radiohead is a band people like, who knew. i don’t wanna hear it!

 

this one should lose but the other two absolutely deserve to win.

 

I barely even listen to For Emma, though feels like I should revisit it again soon enough. Also, PDLIF is my TOP of all the new songs, like it more than anything on i,i.

 

That’s not what I mean. What I mean is that it’s so weird to me that something as big might as well not exist for me.
