I don’t really get the appeal of Emo Nite stuff but seems like they’re really doing a lot to make up for that issue

Just saw The Devil Wears Prada playing both Zombie EPs and hot damn!
I saw them before once in 2012 but today they sound so much better than 10 years ago, and the energy of the show was over the top.

 

I did this same thing to get my wife to go to Touche amore/Deafheaven and portrayal of guilt. She wasn’t super stoked about it and we didn’t see Deafheaven but very worth it

 

Is it just me or does this appeal to like the niche-est audiences?

 

Yeah there's small amounts of appeal in various directions, so I'm surprised by how much of it I'm interested in. Few acts really excite me, but if it were closer to me and just one or two days, I'd be thinking about it for sure.

I think the kind of person who would do a resort festival would be fine with only really knowing half-ish of the lineup though. Especially because the nightly all-inclusive rates seem like a pretty decent deal, assuming it's a quality resort.

 

saw Incubus and Sublime with Rome for free last night - Good show, but Incubus only played 9 songs because a storm came in.

 

Alter Bridge US date for next year popped up on my Songkick. Jan 30, 2023 @ Ryman Auditorium(Nashville, TN).

 

Loved that Blackbird album when I was 14

 

Knocked Loose / Bitter End / Creeping Death date popped up on fb. In San Antonio in October.

 

Bad Omens / Dayseeker / make them suffer / thousand below tour coming next week.

 

What a lineup. That most likely won't hit Austin because Dayseeker headlines here soon.

this got me really excited until I remembered both Bitter End and Creeping Death are from Texas so it’s probably just a one off show

 

how was Brandon? i knew he threw his back out and this was his first show back, even if it was just 9 songs. was he seated the whole time or something?

 

The bassist for Bitter End is a barber in Knoxville. He just opened his own shop and I was wondering why he hadn't told me about the tour during my last cut when I saw that post earlier. He flies in for their shows and it's almost always when I'm trying to make an appointment, haha.
