I'm mostly a lurker in this forum but I truly cannot understand just NOT POSTING when you don't like something lol

 

I've said this before elsewhere, but when I don't like something, I don't have a desire to let everyone know.

If I'm asked, that's one thing, or if we're all sharing, that's another, but otherwise I'll just keep it to myself.

 

I'd rather just talk about the games I like

like XC3 which made me choke up last night

 

Yeah Vase isn't the only person who does it, it happens frequently outside this particular thread. Gets so annoying I stay out of threads of projects I enjoy and otherwise want to discuss because people are constantly unconstructively shitting on them in their threads

I think there’s nothing wrong with well reasoned criticism of a game. Hostility is a different story.

You always have a well-thought out reason why you don't like something. I mean it's always a dumb reason but at least you say more than '*this game* sucks'

 

Speaking of saying a game sucks, I had to take a break from XC3 cause the gameplay was frustrating me. I dont actually think it sucks and I am fairly invested in the story but I dont think I like the exploration or combat really at all. Found myself auto battling every chance I took and turned it down to easy to make everything just go a bit faster.

For people who are liking it, do you enjoy the combat? I feel like there is so little variety/ strategy to it that I get so tired of it so quickly. Sorry for the negativity on here.

 

I have been enjoying it a good amount but I'm quite sure it's going to be my least favorite of the 3 on switch. I need to finish though. I enjoy the combat but it has just become so easy to get over-leveled. Being OP isn't fun but I am just a grinder by nature. I switch around classes enough to keep it kinda fresh but yeah, I am not surprised at any of the criticism it may get


Thankfully I love the characters and story, but even there the dialogue is way too bloated.

 

I often hear that I'd like XC (especially 3) because I play FFXIV but then almost everyone I know who plays FFXIV super regularly hates the XC series so I never know what to believe

Someday I'll try it, I'm interested

 

Speaking of the series, so glad I stuck with XC2, on chapter 8 right now and loving it.

somewhat similar though, I’ve been trying to grind out item drops for better aux cores/chips/accessories, but I’m breezing through a lot of fights so idk if I should just focus on progressing until it gets harder

No offense but if I for instance say “just started breath of the wild, enjoying it so far” I don’t wanna hear about how overrated it is and then get into that argument. Just shit like that gets to me and bogs down this thread in a huge way. You don’t have to bring up how much you don’t like something every single time it’s brought up. Chances are, we know. That’s just an example I used to see not calling anyone specifically out since there’s plenty of other games I could use to make the same point. That’s where I’m coming from. Constructive criticism is one thing, saying you think a game is overrated because someone brought up they’re playing it for their first time is another. That’s a bummer and no one wants to hear it.
