    i took that post as in jest but it also isn't far from accurate. it has maybe three essential National songs and a lot of their worst songs in over a decade. im still excited for this. they can still pull off something great i believe.

    there was a last album? I just thought they skipped 8 and went to 9 cause 7 8 9. see that's how unmemorable the last album was.

    The last album is made worse by the fact that the best song on it is the KEXP version of "Rylan" that isn't actually on the album.
