I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. There's a deep pain/grief/guilt that consumes everything like a black hole when losing somebody that way.

I lost my dad to suicide a few years before CNS came out and was trying to go back to college and find some sort of new normal. This album hit me like no other album has since, so many things I couldn't put into words that Cody was able to beautifully articulate. Years later I was finally able to see the band live and tell them how much this album meant to me. Also, when they played The Widow I was an absolute mess

 

Randomly started spinning this again and for some reason was thinking it came out last year

 

well now I gotta listen to it again

 

I think it holds up pretty well. I'm curious what their future looks like and if more music is coming.

 

I get the impression that they are always done… until they’re not done.

I think this album is immense - four for four for me with their full lengths. Such a brilliant band.

 

Yeah, this record is painfully underrated.

 

And yeah… I assume they’re done til they’re not too lol

 

Listened last night on my dog walk. Still is awesome. Their last 3 albums are all great actually.

Damn. Come Now Sleep is one of my favorites of all time. I wish I could’ve seen them while they were still a band. Actually I kind of saw them live in 2011. They were playing as Hawkboy but I think they played some ACB stuff too. I wasn’t into them until a year later and I didn’t pay attention and then went outside to talk to my friend. If only

 

So thankful I got to see them with TJ when they supported for Underoath’s farewell tour back in 2013. Sad to see them hang it up but glad we got more than we otherwise would have when they called it quits the first time.

 

Saw these guys play to about 10 people when they were touring for Come Now Sleep. They still put on a great show. Glad they got to have a second wind.

 

Was really hoping CNS and HOHW would get repressed with FF this year. Definitely gonna soak up this set when I'm there.

 

Sad but I'm grateful they even came back with another album. Time to revisit it, feels like its release was a bit muted back then.

 

Bought that album the day it was released, which was also the same day I got my drivers license. The first place I drove by myself was to Best Buy to make the purchase.

 

Need a HOHW pressing real bad.

 

woah i was just learning some of the hohw songs on guitar - how serendipitous. loved this band

 

Had an uptick in listening to them over the last week so, spun CNS yesterday and threw on Goldmine and Prince of Planet Earth earlier amongst others. Love this band, one of, if not my favorite. Sad to see them go officially.

 

I hope they have that on a shirt, ngl

idk if it’s just denial, but i can’t really digest this as being final after all the times this band has come back the void.

 

they were sold out of small, medium, and large by 12:15. ended up getting a hoodie with it. he said he’s never sold a shirt this fast.
