I've never seen the whatever those Matt Damon action movies are. I actually did catch one of the mission impossible movies while bored in a hotel once and I loved it and wanted to watch the rest but they weren't on streaming so I did not. I've seen bits and pieces of die hard but haven't watched those either. Apparently 90s action films are a film blind spot for me

I like Bourne more than I do John Wick. For me, Wick feels pretty cold and like sensory overload after awhile, even though I like all of them.

I love all the Bond movies because I grew up watching them with my dad. Even the bad ones I enjoy mainly because of the nostalgia associated with them.

the MI movies (besides 2) are all good to fantastic.

    John Wick movies rule

the Bourne movies were cool back in the day but don’t hold up imo

I kind of agree although the character isn’t written like that now.

Thinking about it besides the 90's era Jack Ryan movies I believe my other favorite spy/espionage thriller as a kid was probably The Long Kiss Goodnight. Why my dad would not only let me watch, but go out of his way to have me watch super violent Shane Black movies as a kid I have no idea lol. He showed me The Last Boy Scout when i was real young too.

I've never seen the Bond movies and have only seen A New Hope and Episode 1 of Star Wars when I was a very little kid. I remember nothing.

My fiance finally got me to watch Terminator 2 the other week and I genuinely did not find it enjoyable at all. Just wasn't for me. Still haven't seen the others but don't have much of a desire to after that boring experience

Never got into Bourne, grew up with James Bond so have a big soft spot, Die Hard is an absolute masterpiece (and the third one is amazing too), Mission Impossible is an incredibly fun series and John Wick kicks fucking ass

100% this. I remember a shelf on our bookshelf of all the VHS lined up in order. I think we did one of those mail order things where you get like 1 VHS/month. I remember I would also get Power Rangers ones

What's wild about this too is I wasn't really allowed to watch anything over PG growing up but Bond was mostly the exception

    yeah good okay Prestigious

I remember enjoying the Bourne movies at one point, but rewatching them over the years I've noticed during action scenes the shaky cam is intense and it's sometimes hard to follow anything

Terminator 2 may well be the greatest action movie of all time. From Ghost Protocol on the M:I movies have been an absolute model of craft in the genre. Seen every official Bond movie and love most of them.

Someone pointed out that there is no indication that the T-1000 is a good guy in Terminator 2 until the confrontation in the mall. That would be such an interesting way to watch the movie for the first time.

Not an original point but it's always hilarious that John's friend instinctively did not rat him out to the cop. Had no idea why anyone was looking for John, just had his friend's back

Mission Impossible is probably overall the best one still running, but my nostalgia for Bond keeps it at the top for me. The Bourne trilogy is great, but I haven’t seen any of them in a decade and I don’t feel all that compelled to do so.

I’ve never seen any Jack Ryan movies or shows but I hear it’s all pretty good minus the Chris Pine one.

Hunt For Red October is really really good. The only one of this franchise that’s a must see

Clear And Present Danger is way too long but it’s pretty entertaining

    Patriot Games is a snooze

The Chris Pine one is completely forgettable

The Sum Of All Fears is 1. Now you dont have to watch it

Tom Clancy was a bad person with horrible politics
