I don’t think any of the BCR record is in drop d? I’m not at a guitar, maybe The End With You is?

Which begs the question, is there any Blink song in drop d?

 

I don’t think BCR uses Drop D either, off the top of my head. Also, the only blink song I’m thinking of at the moment in Drop D is “Kaleidoscope”.

There are some random ones like “Feeling This” that use Drop D tuning but he throws a capo on the second fret. Or something like “Adam’s Song” that uses D Standard.

 

"Obvious" uses Drop C & "Los Angeles" uses Drop C#, but I can't think of any other Alternate Tuning blink songs that haven't already been mentioned.

"The War" by AVA uses Drop D though.

 

I love that everyone still keeps this connection in their head haha

Golden Showers is a genuinely good pop-punk song instrumentally because it's so riffy and fun, very similar to Dumpweed. If the lyrics weren't just a bunch of incest jokes I'd probably listen to it more often.

 

If that sing came out in the early 2000’s people would’ve ate it up. Same goes for California and the most recent Xmas song.

 

I would have liked it as a ten-year-old for sure

 

I love how Tom tried to make it seem like he wanted to be in blink and thought a lost TOYPAJ bonus song was the way to convey that

yeah if you take out Travis’ drumming and replace it with Derek’s it’s basically an Alkaline Trio song lol. Also obviously the verses probably sound a little less electronic and prob more palm muted guitars and thicc Danny bass lines if he brings that song to Trio instead of Blink

 

Also I’m sure I’m alone in this but my biggest complaint about Nine and production is the drums. Travis goes a little hard as it is and is doing..a LOT on the album, a little too much IMO…but then there’s so many times where it either sounds like electronic drums/a drum machine or IS that and…I don’t like it hah

 

that +44 record is unlike anything i've ever heard before still to this day. the angst, the honesty and the passion make that record beautiful. commit this to memory comes close but even though commit is my favourite record, that comparison is a dog chasing its own tail.
