I've been using Bobson Dutnutt as a video game name for years

 

Mike Truk is the only somewhat normal name

 

Went on a road trip last month to Six Flags America, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds. None of them were crowded at all. Six Flags especially was dead (though that particular park really sucks anyway). Granted, it was in the middle of a horrible heat wave, but it does seem like attendance is down this year at many amusement parks.

They way he worded that is very dumb and quite insensitive, but I will say if you read his whole explanation, he isn't wrong in that there has been an uptick in incidents happening at amusement parks particularly with younger crowds. The solution is absolutely not to just increase prices. I also think this guy definitely thinks lower class = rowdy crowds so he wants to just shut out anyone who doesn't have a lot of money from being able to afford to go. Obviously the wrong angle to look at this as.

And if they significantly increase the price of admission which they seem to plan on doing, then in return they should lower prices of things in the park like food. It's an amusement park so yeah it'll be expensive, but Six Flags food has never been great quality and it's overpriced. Meanwhile I've found Cedar Fair parks have pretty good quality food and the prices aren't ridiculous.

Or look at Busch Gardens, admission is definitely on the expensive side but the way they maintain their park is so much better than Six Flags, customer service is better, food is better, it's just run better. If Six Flags raises the price then you would hope their parks will start being run much better.

i went to the six flags here in st louis the other day, and its always been considered one of the worst six flags in the country, but its especially bad lately. still running one train per coaster due to covid (which makes little sense when you think about it), tons of food vendors not open, tons of rides not open, etc. it wasnt too crowded but still due to all rides only running one train at a time the waits varied from walking right on to 30-40 minutes

 

It's probably more of a staffing issue than a covid issue. When I went to Carowinds last month they definitely were short staff on a lot of rides which made dispatches slow, but it wasn't crowded at all so the lines were still short

 

Oh and also, been busy most of the day so….

well the staffing issue is a Covid issue but yeah that’s what it is

 

true but you said they were running one train cause of covid so I figured you meant as a sanitary reason or something which obviously six flags doesn't care about lol

 

If I had to wait like 40 minutes to ride something like Batman or The Boss, I would’ve lost my mind due to how it gets in that park.

 

Yes when listed like propaganda it looks great. My favorite is claiming the american rescue plan lifted children out of poverty without mentioning those things expired a while ago lol oh and bringing covid under control is a good one too

 

I pretty much walked onto both of those (the boss is so fucking rough though it hurt bad lol) but American thunder was a solid 45. Mr freeze also no wait but the new cat woman was long and it looks freaky so I passed lol

 

my favorite part was when they referred to kamala as the “underrated VP” or whatever

Also we really don’t have to make a big argument about this…Biden got a good amount of decent bills done and spent a lot of money on a lot of good things, a good accomplishment especially when it became clear that at least 2 Dem senators were not gonna play ball.

He also didn’t get nearly enough done, hasn’t done a lot of things he’s promised, and has completely fucked Americans over when it comes to Covid. The CDC is a fucking shameful bag of shit under Biden, all in the name of economic activity.
