I could see one or the other (probably WoW) pulling in somebody else for the set. Should be easy enough, given the city they're in and all the bands on the festival.

 

Those venues are like three blocks apart. Could easily play an opening set at one and walk to the headliner at the other.

 

I wish I had confidence in my ability to stay awake for an aftershow because those are some great shows!

 

Anyone have the Academy Is show presale code?

 

Trio at Metro and Jeff ska dream are the two dream aftershows I wanted. I am hype!

I would maybe do TGUK, Maine, JEW or Midtown but I like the idea of not stressing to get to an aftershow Fri or Sat after the fest so that worked out nicely as well

 

TAI tickets are on sale, only VIP packages only tho. Cheapest one is $100, the most expensive is $4000 and includes a guitar, side stage view for their Riot performance and TAI tickets for life

 

Yeah, I’ll just wait and try to snag GA tomorrow at 10. Don’t need VIP.

 

Tempted to do JEW, SDRE, and/or Jeff Rosenstock but also Bully at the Empty Bottle would be fun

Noticed that the metro is asking for proof of vaccination, does anyone know if they need the physical card or if a photo will do? I have a QR code for NYS stuff saying I’m fully vaccinated but idk if they’d accept that in other states?

 

Photo of the card has been good every time I've needed it in Chicago (Metro and other venues).

 

also, if you would have told me midtown and TAI were playing an aftershow, i would have put all my money on midtown headlining, even in chicago. not complaining, simply an observation.

 

I just asked soothsayer hot sauce on Instagram and they said it’s getting announced tomorrow. Will be on the Saturday of the fest, as per tradition.

Remember when I said all they had to do to drown out bad press was make an announcement? This thread is exhibit A.

(No judgement on anybody! Just an observation. Also am like, 75% changing my flight to Thursday now to try and make that Alkaline Trio show happen!)

 

It sucks because I'd love to know if I should do the Alk3 show but I'd only want to go if they conflicted with someone at Riot Fest.

 

Metro codes are Radiometro, Circlesmetro and sweetmetro for AK3, SDRE and Jew respectively

 

So much regret not just pulling the trigger and changing my flight/booking a hotel weeks ago. I kinda always knew I wanted to do it and was too nervous/anxious over the whole situation... The prices have eked up so fucking much hah.

 

WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST DO SKA DREAMS AT RIOT FEST PROPER!

 

The thought of going to The Bottom Lounge to see AOF after a long day at the fest is already making my back hurt
