I still love John Moreland, but this new album is just bad.

New Moreland isn't my favorite of his but "just bad" is harsh in my opinion.

The songwriting is still there obviously, but the direction with his overall sound just doesn’t make sense, and for me I just have no desire to listen to it again.

People like John Rich are why people hate country music.

Along with pre-ordering the new Fullbright, I also figured it was time to buy a Songs LP and it has arrived...I am shocked to find that there are three songs from the album that are cut from the physical version! "Write A Song," "All That You Know," and "Very First Time" are all missing.

Glad to see that the time off between albums didn't leave any rust. Can't wait for the rest to drop

This was a trend around that time with Americana records for some reason. Same deal with Turnpike Troubadours self-titled and the first Lone Bellow record. I don’t play any of those records that often because it pisses me off.

It's hard to say whether this song or "Am I the Only One?" is more worthy of being brought before The Hague. It's like the smell of opening a fridge that's been unplugged for 10 years vs. the smell of burning hair.

Lol. I mean, they are basically the same song, right? On the one hand, I think "Stick your progress where the sun don't shine" is a shittier line than anything in the Aaron Lewis song, because the bigotry in that lyric is just so proudly displayed. On the other hand, the Aaron Lewis song takes a shot at Bruce.

I'm fine sending both of these guys to Antarctica without coats.

Don't want to be a tease, just wanted to throw this out there: They sent me the new Fullbright album, and four songs in, I'm absolutely fucking bowled over by it. Y'all are in for a treat.

Pretty instantly one of my favorite albums I’ve heard this year. Not really country exactly but close enough.

The last two Cory Branan albums have tracks omitted from the vinyl pressings too. And some of them are among my favorites on those albums. It's annoying.

I always check vinyl track lists on country releases now. I don’t understand who is making the decision that no one will care about missing tracks.

It's gotta be a runtime issue where there's too much time to make it fit on one album and sound good, but not worth putting it onto a 2nd for 2 songs, which will increase costs all around.

With Turnpike Troubadours, they crammed their self-titled onto one LP and cut two songs, but pressed the next album (which is five minutes shorter) onto a double LP at 45 RPM (plus a bonus track). You can probably guess which one I play more.

I get that these decisions are tough, but I think cutting songs is the wrong approach. I'm willing to pay for a double LP pressing that presents the whole thing, but would pass on a partial pressing if I had that information ahead of time.
