I presume it's the former because I've followed rock music, rock news, rock forums, etc. for years and years, and this is the first I've ever heard of this.

Not to be arrogant in using myself as a benchmark or anything, but I feel like I'm more informed about this scene than the average bear, and if I haven't heard it, I can't imagine a lot of others have either.

Which could mean their AIDS denialism caused them to become a worse band or it could mean that, for the sake of their music, they should go back to denying it.

Here’s a take I actually believe and think is Good, not Bad:

I honestly think The Gift is probably Beyoncé’s best record.

 

would probably be #5 for me but I respect this take

 

it’s 4 for me. not the position in ranking. her best album is 4.

That's basically 1a. Definitely the album that made me take her seriously as an album artist and not just a pop star.

 

Beyonce > Lemonade > 4 > The Gift

 

It's her first album album, not just big singles with not so great album tracks, whole thing is fire
