I don’t think not being Batman would be an issue for me. I just surely won’t have a PlayStation 5 for several years

 

I don’t think Sony/Microsoft and the game studios feel like they can make these tentpole games next gen exclusive when you still can’t easily walk into a store and buy these consoles. It just seems like bad business to cut off a big chunk of your sales if these games can run on previous gen.

Plus it’s pretty common for previous gen consoles to still be supported for a while after the newest versions are released. It’s probably just going to last longer with this cycle since there is still a scarcity of consoles.

 

I need to play R&C. Probably after Dark Souls.
I also need to mop up on Kena. Cute and fun game, although the camera was wonky at times.

I feel like, yes, you can absolutely play most ps5 games on ps4, but the upgrades to refresh rate alone make the ps5 worth it in my eyes. Going back to 30 is a tall ask for me personally.

Playing older games on the Series X with the performance boosts are like night and day

 

Returnal is one game that truly shines on the PS5.

the point of owning a ps5 is the performance upgrade / no load times

Returnal is the best game on PS5 hands down. Truly next gen shit.

 

Returnal is amazing but the gameplay loop is too long for no save points / one save point. It's like Hades if runs took hours instead of 30 minutes. Too hardcore for my blood

 

I think they patched that now.

 

I play like 3 games a year and I breezed through so idk

 

A couple of the Cult of the Lamb reviews are out and i'm fuckin stoked for tomorrow.

 

everybody seems to agree the game is very good. the only complaint I've seen is that it's too easy.

 

The main story mode is prob easy, but there seems to be an unlimited rogue mode that unlocks after you complete it, that's what the real geeks like me are lookin for!
