I am excited for the Batman game that I won’t play for 3 or 4 years

 

So just finished Metroid Dread and now playing Stray. After that I will either start Elden Ring or Horizon FW. Not sure which to tackle first.

 

Horizon, because you’ll get way too sucked into ER if you play it first

 

Elden Ring is much much better than HFW

Popped on Dead Cells for the first time in a while, its a huge mistake I don't play this game more. The attention and love it has gotten from the devs is incredible. I can already see a ton of QoL updates from last time I played.

 

Dead Cells has been creeping up on my all timer rogue list

 

1BC mode used to be sooooooooooooooo so so so so much harder back in the day, I am happy they seem to have made adjustments and stretched out the difficulty a little more.

 

Is it because neither Gotham Knights nor Suicide Squad is really a Batman game?

Don't get me wrong, I'm still interested in both games, and I don't necessarily mind playing as other characters, but I can't see myself playing them and not wishing I was Batman.

 

Played some Kena last night, v cute game and excited to actually finish a game too lmao. Also, I didn’t know Rimworld got a console port?! That’s insane

 

I fucking love Kena so fucking much.

 

Kena is top notch.

 

Just completed The Last of Us 2 for the 2nd time (first time was about two weeks after it released in 2020). I'm more satisfied the 2nd time around, it's an incredible game. The original is my favorite game of all time and I love the combat (played in Hard mode). The AI is intelligent, I constantly have to craft items and use different methods to clear out the baddies.

What really stuck this time though was the story. My cousin (and seems like a lot of the internet) doesn't like it because it "pushes a narrative". The whole Lev shaving her head and going by "he/him" seemed a bit forced, but everything else was wonderful. The fact that they put you into Abby, Joel's killer, and build empathy toward her was really well done. By the end of the game I actually found myself siding with Abby more than Ellie. When Ellie showed back up at the back of the theater scene, I didn't feel bad attacking her, but when I was controlling Ellie and slicing Abby in the ocean I felt like I was doing something terrible. For Ellie to be the protagonist through 1.5 games and then thinking she is the bad one really shows how great the storytelling is. I think playing two years after the pandemic instead of in the middle of 2020 I was able to enjoy and appreciate the darkness a lot more.

I cannot wait for the HBO tv series, and hopefully some multiplayer action in the spring.

 

Also, what's the point of owning a PS5 at this moment? I left mine at my mom's a year and a half ago and finally brought it to my new home. I noticed that Sifu, Miles Morales, Stray, Deathloop, Horizon Forbidden West and the upcoming God of War are all being supported on PS4. I was about to buy a PS5 but there seems to be no point.

The Last of Us 1 Remake is PS5 only, but I've completed that game 5 times already. Is there anything else that's PS5 exclusive? I feel like I'm pretty happy with my Xbox Series S for all those 3rd party games.
