I wonder if that means they don't know yet if Tom will be fine with Skiba sticking around.

Would love though if they're putting Matt first and telling Tom "Skiba's in and you can do it or you can not do it"

  3. I also think that Travis is busy being a newly-wed and having weddings and honeymoons atm.

    Things have changed.

I would put money on Skiba not being involved. I'd put it ... All On Black, even.

Oh, god, what have I done?

Could be a situation where they're trying to work Tom back in but are still negotiating and figuring things out, so they don't want to announce it in case it falls through? Hard to answer that with a yes or no if that's where they're at. Everyone would hate it if they got forced into saying "Yes, Tom is back" to address the rumors only for him to not be available to tour or record for the next year so they move on with Matt.

  8. I would put money on what I said being literally what's the current state as of Saturday night.

Tom has been really stoked on Turnstile lately, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them open for blink. Hot Milk or Maggie Lindemann would be awesome openers too.

I would drop a pathetic amount of money on a Turnstile/Blink tour

I'm just over here imagining a Turnstile inspired blink album and I need to not do this to myself

Listened to Take Off Your Pants & Jacket for the first time in a long time and I think it actually holds up fairly well against Enema. Each of the 3 singles are kinda lesser versions of Enema hits ("Rock Show" is a nice peppy update of "What's My Age Again", "First Date" being a lesser "All The Small Things" and "Stay Together For The Kids" building on "Adam's Song" slightly) but the production is bigger and more bombastic and the guitar/bass interplay is better. The acoustic "joke" songs were already dumb to me as a 17-year-old in 2001 and they are even dumber now.

What about The Wonder Years as an opener?

Tom posted about Turnstile a while back, If he happens to be back he always brought on wild openers simply because he thought they were rad. I completely forgot that Manchester Orchestra was the opener on the Blink MCR Honda Civic Tour. That was nuts.

  20. I wish there was a parallel universe where Blink had gone the indie label route after they got back together in 2009, they didn't care about writing radio singles and staying relevant in that world, and they worked with Bill Stevenson as producer, and they just had fun writing whatever came out of the 3 of them. Not knocking the trajectory they went on, but I'd love to hear what that all would have sounded like.

That would have been rad. Didn't they go through the whole process to be independent and then Tom quit again anyways? I love Dogs Eating Dogs for this reason though. It's like they just went for it without putting too much thought into how successful it would be. Would have loved another 1 or two eps from that era with Tom.

Yeah that would have been really cool. A Blink/Bill Stevenson album on Hopeless or Epitaph in 2009 would have been super interesting.

I would love nothing more than a new blink record with either sam pura or ryan hewitt taking on producer duties.

    Fingers crossed Feldman. Is. Out.
