I could definitely see myself becoming a fan based on Knocked Loose's live sound. What I heard on record gave me some metalcore vibes at times, and that's just not what I am always trying to hear. Stray From the Path and Stick To Your Guns would probably be some natural progressions if you dig Knocked Loose.

what's the general opinion on ceremony over here? they don't do the hardcore thing anymore but i think rohnert park might be the best hardcore album ever made.

 

I saw them at Wrecking Ball last month and I honestly think they put on the best set all weekend. People were going nuts the entire set.

 

Violence Violence is a great record and in my opinion by far their best.

 

Only record of theirs I don't care for is Zoo. Everything else rules

 

Really not a fan of either haha. For multiple reasons. But I don't knock that both of those bands are pretty huge right now. Just not my cup of tea/heavy music.

 

Ceremony is great though. I haven't been big on their last couple LP's, but Kersed may go down as one of the hardest songs i've ever listened to/witnessed live. The first line sends people into a frenzy every time they pull that out.

 

Really really enjoying Comeback Kid so far.

 

Comeback Kid has a solid discography all the way through. Die Knowing being either no. 1 or no. 2 for me.

 

Completely agree! The toughest thing is having records with two vocalists it can be tough for new fans. I got in on the ground floor so to speak. I like it all, but Sypmtoms and Die Knowing are my two favorites.

 

Definitely gonna check out the new Trap Them

 

Finished off Comeback Kid's discography today. Love 'em, definitely. Will probably check out Minor Threat next.

 

Minor Threat should be quick. Depending on which self titled album you play, you may not need to go through Out of Step. I guess they have that first demo too, but it's not necessarily crucial listening.

 

Minor Threat complete discography comp is 47 mins.

 

Yeah, wasn't expecting it to be that short at all. Was a fun time. Took a bit of getting used to but they grew on me real fast.

 

Can we talk about how amazing the 'Fuck me blind' Turnstile cover is?

 

That EP/7" is a lot of fun, including the Give cover.

 

Minor Threat is one of those bands like Bad Brains that still has a lot of influence on alternative music today and for good reason. They rule. Who are you diving into next?

 

Any love for The Bronx in here? I'm seeing them tomorrow and I'm pumped. It's probably been 5-6 years since the last time I saw them, before IV came out, so it'll be interesting to see if they still bring the intensity they used to.

Dug into Turnstile - took a bit longer than others to click with me but I dug them. The vocal delivery was a bit different from the rest in some way, so I think that was it. I really did not care for Step 2 Rhythm, though, for some reason. That album just bored me somehow.

Fun story as well - on the album Pressure To Succeed when I got to the track The Things You do, I was bending over drinking from a water fountain and I misheard the first line as "You will never understand the poop in my eyes," and water almost shot out my nose.

 

Speaking of Turnstile, any bands similar to them vocal and instrumental wise?
