love nebraska but it isn't close for me

 

Probably the toughest matchup in the bracket for me. Rubber Soul is my favorite Beatles album, and I’m generally not as high on Nebraska as most Bruce fans. Still, I probably listen to the latter more, so I’m going with that.

Listening to Nebraska as a formality, but there's a 0.00001% chance it changes my mind about a top 3 Beatles album. And I've yet to have my real moment with Bruce and doubting if it'll ever come

 

I appreciate Nebraska more than I love it. The American Rubber Soul is even better, but the British one still rules. Going Beatles.

 

Didn't know there was an alternate American release! I need to give that a listen, but I can’t imagine the album opening with anything other than “Drive my Car”.

 

"I've Just Seen a Face" is my favorite Beatles song and more in keeping with the folk-rock vibe of a lot of the record. It also adds "It's Only Love" which also contributes to the vibe.

Bummer of a matchup because I love Nebraska, but it’s Rubber Soul

 

One of my favorite Beatles albums but I don't have the same relationship with it as I have with Nebraska.

Have to go with Nebraska here, basically the only full Bruce album I’ve been able to get into. And I like many Beatles albums more than this one.

 

Rubber Soul has never connected with me the way other Beatles albums have. Nebraska gets the nod thanks to Atlantic City.
