I wasn't there but Dua Lipa opened for The 1975 in 2016 which would have been sick to see

 

people kinda lumped them in as just another deathcore band ripping off Suicide Silence and White Chapel etc at the time.

 

The White Noise & Chase Atlantic opening for Sleeping With Sirens was a weird one.

So was Waterparks & Too Close To Touch coheadlining with Creeper opening.

 

Palaye royale was also opening for SWS on that tour you mentioned. Weird how both Palaye Royale and Chase Atlantic are bigger than SWS now

 

Saw a Fall Out Boy/ The 1975/ Echosmith show in college. That was a weird one. Dua Lipa opened for Troye Sivan in Lakewood High School's auditorium in 2015 or 16. Wasn't there but I think that's the only time she's played in the Cleveland area. Arctic Monkeys opening for The Black Keys' first arena tour in 2013 was a unique tour. AM was much bigger in every country in the world except the US.

 

I saw Coheed/Thrice/Thursday in that order in 2003, and 20 years later it'd probably be opposite billing

 

Bayside just coincidentally posted some old tour posters and in 2006, Paramore opened for them.

Several tours where ADTR opened for them 06/07ish.

 

Lizzo opening for Haim both makes sense and doesn't

 

Looking through my concert archives now and some of my 2016 shows look really weird now:

Movements playing before this wild life and have mercy

waterparks opening before jule vera, metro station and nevershoutnever

Paylaye royale opening for I see stars

one ok rock opening for issues

 

Turnstile opening for Twitching Tongues in ‘13

 

Just remembered one. Rancid/Mighty Mighty Bosstones (R.I.P.)/OFF!/The Interrupters on NYE in 2015. I think The Interrupters could easily co-headline with Rancid now. Or The Bosstones, if they were still together

 

Metrostation opening for Saves The Day super odd. Weird tour to buy on to.

 

Also, anyone remember when Plague Vendor opened for Suicide Silence?

Also don't know if it's been posted but looks like Vinnie is playing a set of Movielife songs as the opener for that TEN tour.

 

That tour was fire at the time haha

 

still crazy to look at the billing, Amity opening and sleeping with sirens being so Low just seems wild.

 

similarly, I saw The Weeknd do like a 4pm set at Osheaga in 2012, which he then did a headlining set 5 years later

Think that was Amity’s first US tour too

 

In terms of strange openers I saw Phoebe Bridgers open a show for Sylvan Esso in 2018 I think it was. Also Julien Baker opened like 2 shows for Kevin Devine on his Instigator tour

 

Found a super lo res poster, I know bayside definitely headlined the Philly date. Maybe they swapped on and off?
