Can someone who’s more musically inclined than I am tell me if this song is in the same key or has the same progression as this song?

 

I am not musically inclined but that song also absolutely fucking hits.

 

Yup! Same key and similar chord progression.

Both songs are the Key of B, but The 1975 song goes [B - B - G#m - F#] and the Nightly song goes [E - E - G#m - F#]

technically The 1975 changes the last chord of the progression every few bars, but that's the main one

 

Nightly is a fantastic band; they're opening this fall for The Midnight on their tour

Major ILIWYS vibes. I think I like the dancefloor edit better for playlist listening but the samples and soundscaping and solos and grooooove in the full song make it the essential version.

I'm not as enamored with the video as the rest of you, but they're committing to an aesthetic well.

Can't wait to yell "SHOW ME YOUR LOVE WHY DON'T YOU" and all the my my mys and bah bah bahs live.

 

Can't stop laughing at the transition in the video where Matty goes from looking like a sleazy drunk to looking majestic on top of that horse (~1:50-2:00 mark)

 

There's a 6 day gap between Washington and Missouri and driving through Colorado to hit I-70 is the most logical route so I will not be surprised if they add some dates

 

Liking this one more than Part of the Band, absolute banger

 

I’ve listened to this an uncomfortable amount of times already…

 

I should probably give this a second listen before I start comparing to previous roll out singles that I have huge personal emotional attachment to, huh

 

I officially fucking love this and just listened to it on repeat for the majority of a 2 hour run

Damn, each band member is giving one of their best performances in forever - best sax solo, guitars absolutely rip, and that basssssss my god.
