Dude you dont have to be an asshole about it. Intimate could have meant just that. Their first tour back could have been a smaller tour.

okay but if you actually read the interview and understand context clues there is nothing to suggest he ever hinted at intimate venues. absolutely nothing. its clear he was talking about stage production but like 10 people now have been shocked or disappointed that they arent playing intimate venues even though it was never even hinted at that would be the case. its annoying.

For real. In what world was The 1975 gonna come back and play venues they were hitting during the self-titled era, especially after nearly the entirety of the Notes era was wiped out?

This band sells out venues quickly. Do you know how many goofballs begging for 1000 cap venues would be Extremely Mad Online when such perceived tour would sell out in a fraction of a second?

For your information, I did read the interview. Sorry for annoying you but at the same time I was thinking about it in terms of how artists such as Lorde have been doing smaller venues once shows came back.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

I hate seating at arena shows, so fingers crossed one of those first 3-5 dates has GA that isn't too extremely priced.

I'm mostly the opposite on this now lol. If I can grab a seat at an arena show, I do so. There are very few artists where I'd agree to deal with the GA/pit section these days, and I think with bands like this, I'm going for a seat if possible. I care more about having a good view in general vs dealing with a crowd full of people of various heights. Also, I can't get to a venue the morning of a show and wait all day just to get near the front. Adulting sucks lol.

Speaking of The 1975, I was able to grab a last-minute ticket to their last Portland date in 2019 for like $35 or so. Fairly decent seat considering the price. The stage pillar being in the way sucked, but couldn't complain with the price.

I can totally see what they mean by "intimate" for the new tour when I look back at these pics. There was a LOT going on with the lights and screens and it was very "in your face".

Post cuts it off, but there's four images to click through.

A handful of more dates/venues have leaked, including MSG (New York), Allstate Arena (Rosemont), WAMU Theater (Seattle), The Forum (LA)

Seems like the tour will be a mix of theaters and arenas.

Intimate means that they’re going to be playing their shows on a carpet and barefoot!

Guessing on the tracklisting position, it’s probably more upbeat of a song. They don’t snooze on track 2s.
