Looking at crosstabs, that White % is actually bad for Trump.

Romney, I believe, was at like 58. Shows him at 49%.

50% say vote is more for Clinton vs 44% say against Trump.

Didn't expect that.

Now, of the 92,934,452 white votes Romney won 59 percent -- or 54,831,326. Obama won 39 percent or a total of 36,244,436.

 

One of the worst things about the Douthat article is him and his peers all over Twitter today saying "Told ya so! You proved my point!" when the article is criticized.

Clinton +6 among whites w/college degrees. Romney beat Obama +14.

 

The Trump 40% ceiling remains.

 

Going after Obama was a really dumb political move.
