    The spiciest meme

I remember Pressure coming out and its music video, and thinking the iconic backroll during the final chorus was the coolest thing in the world. But I was only a mild fan of them back then, mostly just jamming the singles, and then years later coming back and listening to Conspiracy and going wtf why did I overlook the non-singles

I forgot about street teams. Does anyone still do that?!

New episode of Hayley's show is up. Today, she talked a bit about the upcoming album. Here's most of what she said:

BBC Sounds Mixes - Everything is Emo, Across The Pond

Also, I missed posting about last week's episode. It was hosted by Tegan from Tegan & Sara - BBC Sounds Mixes - Everything is Emo, Special guest Tegan from Tegan and Sara

Never really cared for Bloc Party, but am definitely curious

  7. I don't know why but as soon as they mentioned bringing back louder guitar work, I thought Paramore going in a dance rock/punk direction could be a fever dream, and that a song like "Fast In My Car" would be a good template for that. Now that they name dropped Bloc Party, I feel like my prediction is coming true and that excites me even more!!

Same here. I think they could nail the guitar driven post-punk/new wave/indie rock sound.

Fast In My car also rules. Love that too. My second favorite from them.

    Newbie

The last time I heard "Bloc Party" used in a sentence, I thought they were a boring indie band.

Just listened to this and I am in if Paramore is recreating this energy:

The first two Bloc Party records are so special to me that anything after hasn’t quite hit as hard but this is still a very interesting direction for Paramore.

    Another one for the uninitiated:

    Not newbie, I think Supporter

The guy's voice isn't my thing, it's weird I think it's cool and want to like it but my ears are just like nah thanks for that retro-British vocal sound. That style with Hayley's voice I think will rule though and it's a pretty logical direction from After Laughter.

Yeah this is a lot more like a progression from After Laughter than I was expecting than when they were talking about heavier and returning to rock / punk music.

    Excited to hear this.

YESS a Bloc Party inspired album has got me so hyped.

Their new album is a serious return to form. But no question Silent Alarm is their best
