I am far too old to care about these microgenre distinctions. But, like Spo, I'm also an educator so I get sometimes you just want to stir a little shit on summer break. Haha

1975 lite? Have you listened to either band? Their sound has made a natural progression from album to album. “Pick a sound?” What a weird thing to say to a band. “Just keep making the same album over and over!!!!!”

A-fucking-men. For every Bad Religion, there's a band like Less Than Jake or NOFX that's a shell of their former selves. Milk the nostalgia for all it's worth, but it's clear their heydays are behind them.
