Skipping Serenade is BANANAS to me. It’s the perfect coda

I can get on board with skipping "Wild Billy" sometimes, but nothing on side 2 should ever be short-changed. One of the all-time great three-song runs.

  4. Yeah if I’m not gonna play Wild all the way through I’m much more likely to just play the last three songs

In a piece for The New York Times, Landau said, “In pricing tickets for this tour, we looked carefully at what our peers have been doing. We chose prices that are lower than some and on par with others. Regardless of the commentary about a modest number of tickets costing $1,000 or more, our true average ticket price has been in the mid-$200 range. I believe that in today’s environment, that is a fair price to see someone universally regarded as among the very greatest artists of his generation.”

Respectfully, with love, go fuck yourself Jon and unfortunately, you too Bruce.

honestly i don't really have an issue with him pricing tickets the way they were priced initially. i have a problem with ticketmaster's "platinum" ticket dynamic model and them buying their own tickets to instantly re-sell them at huge markups. literally no artists have control of that.

  7. yeah I basically agree with that. sure I'd love it if bruce said "fuck it every ticket is $30" and covered the cost of touring from his accumulated personal largesse but I also live in the real world lol

just hope that all his crew/ancillary staff are very well compensated at least

yeah, i mean, people richer than god like him and mccartney are just never going to do that. it would be great if they did but im also not going to bash them for not living up to unrealistic demands

For me it’s the fact that I’ve managed to get rail every time I’ve seen him (3/3) for less than $300, and now the ‘modest number of tickets’ going for 5k are going to include those tickets.

    So, yeah, bitter. lol

Was able to get tickets for MSG fairly easily (after waiting in the ‘queue’ for 10 minutes). Section 210 for $260 a ticket (after fees).

Heard he’s doing stadiums next summer across the US, which would be kind of weird after just doing an arena tour but I’d be down considering prices would likely be more reasonable.

He did this in 2012 and 2016, as well. Stadium shows were much more affordable. In my experience (Boston/Foxboro), at least.

To me, it’s like… why not just announce that you’ll be back soon in a more affordable capacity? You’d stave off a lot of the negative fan reaction.

Because announcing you’ll be back soon before shows actually sell out is a poor business plan lol

Yeah, when you're trying to sell $300 arena tour tickets and getting backlash, announcing that your doing a stadium tour that will be cheaper next summer isn't going to move those are arena tickets.

I've just come to the conclusion that live events are just going to be a rich people only thing pretty soon. Saw that with F1 in Miami this year - my wife and I were thinking about going - but the first indication we wouldn't be was when I got the email for the special "VIP packages, starting with a simple deposit of $5,000." Actual tickets for race day were $500-600 each.

Darkness is also probably the album that benefits the most hearing it live/raw as opposed to the album version.
I thought it was just ok for a long time until i started hearing the songs live then it instantly shot up to 2nd place.

Absolutely. Like, "Prove It All Night" is just "pretty good" on record for me, but it's stellar live.

First time I saw him, he did an awesome cover of "Higher and Higher." Would love to have a studio take on that with the band.
