I was thinking of making another tier list for other 2d games but I love most of these equally so I think I'm just gonna list them.
Child of Light, Spiritfarer, Gris, Hue, Limbo, Inside, both Oris (iirc the studio is shitty though?), Bloodstained, Hollow Knight, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Darksiders Genesis, both Lara Croft and the... games

 

The only rogues I've played are on Gamepass, blame them

 

Damn I should pick up Rogue Legacy for Switch

 

Dude I have hit an entire new level of gameplay in BoI the past couple weeks where I am completing stuff that used to feel impossible, it feels amazing and I can't stop playing lol.

 

Rogue Legacy rules and is very often cheap as fuck on the eshop

 

BoI is so deep and demanding it has so many levels of progression to it, it's fucking fantastic.

 

I keep reading that as

 

Underwater BoI

 

It’s the best, and I think the game I’ve logged the most hours in. Especially since it’s become the fallback game I play when I don’t know what else to play

 

is this an unpopular opinion? RDR2 ruled.

also never played a yakuza, might have to check out LAD.

 

Oh idk I just remember a long time ago there was a big discussion about the game on it being good or bad

 

RDR2 not to be confused with DRRR or RRR

 

I think RDR 2 is good but it's way too long and takes itself too seriously

 

LAD is very good but a bunch of the cutscenes/dialogue sections are insanely long

 

Yeah it’s a jrpg lol

 

I’m still on my break from persona 5 so I might start mafia series again

 

I’ve only played probably a dozen or so JRPGs in my life but none of those had cutscenes anywhere close to the length of LAD lol

 

It’s almost as bad as MGS4

 

Isn’t each Yakuza game close to over 100 hours?

 

Yes and they are worth it

Yeah there’s levels to it for sure. LAD is on the higher end, the Cold Steel games are probably the biggest offender and that may be my favorite JRPG series of all time haha.

I remember when I was younger and FFX came out and I was so upset about all the cutscenes, it took me another decade to not only be accepting of them but to be able to enjoy them. Now i’m used to it.
