So my wife always asks me this and I believe I’m correct in that the new spidey films aren’t on Disney plus because the Sony deal fell through? Like going forward is Tom Holland going to appear in movies with Thor/Gaurdians/Moon Knight etc?

I could research it but I like to ask these questions to my brothers and sisters in Christ at Chorus .fm

I believe Sony and Disney still have a deal for Tom Holland to appear in at least one MCU film, if that's what you're talking about. They're also actively talking about the future.

    There's also this:

Disney inks a huge Sony deal to bring Spider-Man and other films to Disney Plus and Hulu

Pretty shitty they took those scenes off the home release to do a second run in theaters IMO

They should replace the Doctor Strange trailer at the end of the credits with the Vulture credit scenes from Morbius.

Change “intriguing” to Toomes just randomly saying “it’s morbin’ time” and it will be a killer scene

Enjoyed this quite a bit and then the ending just blew it all up for me. Not into that at all, especially in the context of the greater MCU. Loved everything with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield and thought Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe were as good as you’d expect.

Guaranteed they did this to try to break $2 billion at the box office. All it needs is $100 million worldwide

Why does it feel like this movie came out 4 years ago

The people who think this is the greatest movie ever have altered the fabric of space and time. Their insane need to over praise it makes every moment you read their tweets/posts/etc time slows down as you realize how silly they sound. You begin to feel the dread of sharing a planet with them. I mean, sure, you liked the movie and loved some aspects but this intense praise is baffling. Do these people see movies outside the MCU/Marvel movies? Do they really just like clapping and screaming that they know who a character is? All this rushed through your mind at once making it feel incredibly drawn out. That’s why it feels like it came out so long ago. Add in the whole “it’s okay if the CGI isn’t great” conversation and it’s so so absurd.

like, I’m glad people love it. But maybe don’t pretend it’s the best movie ever made when enjoyment of it greatly depends on how well you know the Raimi/Webb films. There nothing wrong with that. Movies can be all connected and really on prior content to really enjoy all a movie has to offer. But when a movie relies heavily on it, maybe keep the whole “greatest movie ever” stuff to the side.

I've literally never seen anyone argue this is the greatest movie of all time

And if people have why does it matter? lol

if someone thinks this is the greatest film of all time then that’s fine. I don’t agree but if someone thinks otherwise then okay.
