Close is definitely one of my favorites. I literally danced to it in the shower the other day. It makes me think of like a car chase in an 80's movie lol

I do not recommend dancing in the shower for any reason

    forbidden chalice.

"My depression suddenly lifted, all the adrenaline shocked my nervous system. Swore I'd be present and grateful for every second. Later, the feeling faded; I couldn't help it"

This section of 4th of July is so hard hitting. Woah. This record keeps getting better with each listen.

That was a damn good lineup too but been listening to this album too much to pass up the chance. Hope that show was just as great

sure was, both lineups were unreal. plus mountain goats in baltimore, tenement at the black cat, and yohuna played both in DC and baltimore too

it's great, alex g and hop along are incredible openers and a worthy show even before the legends of built to spill went on. doug marsch is a brilliant, brilliant guitarist

Also want that deluxe Pretty Years and Lenses Alien vinyl but again... Poor.

I picked up the Pretty Years Rough Trade exclusive. It has demos for 10 songs (2 for have a heart, none for close) - I'll trade the mp3s to anyone who has the demos for LOSE

This is so, so, good. Easily going to be a top 5 this year. One thing I love about this band is how there are so many references to places in NJ, NY, and Philly throughout their discography. Six Flags and Manalapan in Jackson, Vintage Vinyl in XR, Elizabeth and Spring Lake in Shore Points, Belmar in Plainclothes, Freehold in Cold Spring, Asbury, Ocean Grove and Red Bank in Shrine, Aramingo and Kensington in 4th of July. It's really cool listening to their discography and hearing them sing about all these places that you've been to and live at/near for your whole life, makes listening to them more intimate for me.

Yeah, I think you guys were right. I don't hate this, but I don't find much for me to come back to, and I borderline can't stand the vocals.

I get what y'all are saying but I hate 99% of the vocalists for modern indie rock bands, but I like his vocals. it took time, but they grew on me. now I don't even notice them like that

Had to leave the show the other night before they went on due to somewhat extreme circumstances, unfortunately. I'm bummed about it, for sure, but hopefully they'll be back in NC soon enough.
