The main event ending with a dislocation sucks and I feel for Brian, however that first round was delivering up until then and every other fight from the beginning of the prelims to the end were electrifying. That was easily Top 2 cards of the year so far. Seeing Matt Schnell make one of the greatest comebacks in UFC history when he looked to be done and likely would’ve had his contract terminated with another loss, that was unreal. Lauren Murphy suddenly decides she can throw hands at 38. Li Jingliang putting on like usual.

Super diverse show of skills and training backgrounds. Great matchups stylistically. I wanna watch it again sometime this week.

 

Yeah, it was a great fight night. They’ve had some insane fight nights in front of crowds this year. London and Austin were insane as well. I’m really excited for them to go back to London next weekend. I also really like having cards in the middle of the day. I got to wake up to prelims at 8AM and the card was over by 2. It’s nice to have that happen every now and then.

 

I was very glad I stayed off IG for the work shift as it started at 2pm for me and I didn’t leave work Saturday until 7pm.

 

We’ve gotten a couple of absolutely amazing PPVs this year, but it definitely seems like the non-apex Fight Nights are the highlights for sure. I’m really itching to get back to another live event but there hasn’t been one anywhere close to me for four years.

 

Yeah I’m hoping they come to the NW soon. Portland was one of the first fight nights cancelled back in 2020. They haven’t been to the NW 2016. We are long overdue for an event.

Kind of crazy that they are swinging for the fences already. He didn’t really look great against Munoz. Yan is a super tough fight and probably the last fight I’d give to O’Malley to push him to the top.

 

UFC is trying to add Dustin vs Dariush to Abu Dhabi too but Dustin hasn’t agreed yet

If Dustin doesn’t accept it, I’d like to see Fiziev or Gamrot get that fight.

 

They are definitely burning through some guys I expected to be on the year end card.

Makes me wonder if they’ll manage to get Jones/Stipe or Conor/Chandler to hop on it alongside Izzy/Alex

I can’t imagine Jiri/Glover will be ready by December again. They beat the shit out of each other.
