Cassino – “Pollyanna 22”

Cool to here a new take on this song. I loved this Northstar album and always found the production on that album to be fantastic.

 

Didn't expect this but will always take more Cassino or Northstar.

 

Glad to see signs of musical life from Nick. Great new take.

 

That album was on repeat during my high school years

 

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. I would kill for him to do a re-imangining of this entire record with Cassino.

 

I remember seeing Northstar tour with Hot Rod Circuit and Straylight Run. The finger pointing and singing was very hard that night.

Pollyanna is such a classic album.

 

That tour was awesome. Unrelated to Northstar but the coolest thing on that tour was when Say Anything (I believe same tour) had practically all the members from all those bands up on stage signing the gang vocals on Belt.

 

Ah yes, Say Anything were on that too! Pretty sure they were the openers! That was the first time I saw them live and maybe the first time I actually heard the band tbh!

The golden age of tours!

 

I would pay a stupid amount of money to fly wherever in the world for a Northstar reunion.

That being said, I really love the reworked version of this song.

 

A friend of mine asked Nick if they’d ever reunite Northstar and he said no. Sounds like a members passing (bass player?) was the reason.

 

Is a real boy era Say Anything too. I went to three shows on this tour, good ol days.

 

Including a singer of a prominent band in which we can no longer speak of here at the Long Island shows. Probably one of my favorite shows/tours ever.

Whoa this was a nice surprise, I'd love a reunion tour/show/festival date

 

Wish we had got a few more Northstar records before they ended, but I do enjoy having Cassino releases, and I listen to both Pollyanna and Yellowhammer a lot.

 

Have legitimately said this for the past 10 years. Flights couldn't be booked fast enough.

 

As much as I'd love for Northstar to get back together, I think the passing of Jake in 2017 is going to hinder any plans for that. But here's to wishful thinking!

 

Man, I miss Northstar so damn much....

 

I’m in the minority here. While I love Cassino, and I really liked north star, I don’t like how he covered this. It feels a little too busy i guess. I hope he does more songs from the record though.
