Haven't been on here in AGES but bumping this thread bc drops TOMORROW. Reviews have seemed great - I can't wait.

 

Heard about this band a while back through a Jeremy Bolm instagram post, these new songs sound awesome, def checking this out tomorrow

 

I remember seeing them for the first time open for Loma Prieta about 10ish years ago - someone told me that they were awesome, and I saw them and I've never really been the same since lol. Probably the best live performance I've ever seen and I've been a forever fan. They're old stuff is great - highly suggest checking out You, Me, and the Violence and their last - We Already Lost the World. Old stuff/eps/splits are great too.

YM&TV is a top 20 album for me last decade

 

Just completed my first listen (although I definitely hit repeat on a couple tracks as I was going along) but initial thoughts (and pretty strong ones at that) are that this is the best thing they've done. The run between Grisaiille, Trompe L'oeil, Rodin, and Winter, Yet is absolutely insane. The flow and pacing of this album is really a progression from everything they've done in a past - it's so noticeable.

Absolutely blown away. I can't wait for the vinyl to get here and to dive in more.

already mentioned this elsewhere but the midsection of "trompe l'oueil" knocks me sideways every time
