Neighborhoods is poorly produced but it has some pretty high highs (and low lows)

 

Nothing on Neighborhoods comes close to Pin The Grenade or No Heart To Speak Of

 

Those aren’t even my favorite songs on Nine, and I still agree

 

After Midnight and Even If She Falls are the only songs I ever return to from that record. Nine has probably 6 or 7.

 

After Midnight is a top five blink track. Wishing Well is great too

 

i don't know about top 5 since there's at least 5 better songs across dude ranch, enema, toypaj, and untitled that i'd pick over "after midnight" any day, BUTTTT that song is in their top 30 or so, i'd say.

 

We're getting dangerously close to ranking territory again here fellas....

No Heart may be a top 5 Skiba song in general. Love it

 

Neighborhoods is probably in my top 9 blink albums

aha you’re right. He’s trying to promote monsters of California. Get ready for a full North American tour of Tom wearing a MOC shirt.

 

As far as Blink albums go post-Untitled, for me it’s California and Nine over Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs.

Having seen Blink once during Tom’s first run, three times during Tom’s second run, and once with Skiba, I personally felt their best performance was Enema 20 w/ Skiba.

Yet for some dumb reason I still want Tom back in Blink in some capacity.

Nostalgia for the glory days and hoping they can once again produce something on par with Enema-Take Off-Untitled is way more powerful than rational thought.

 

For me who invested in both eras.. both are so so sick in there own way. Nothing will top dude ranch - untitled. Both had there ups and down but they were good if there own right. However for me. Tom live with them will always be better. The banter forever with me.

 

I’d like to see Tom do a few untitled shows, that’s probably it. No confidence that any new music he writes for blink would be that good.

 

That’s fair. The banter between Mark and Tom was my favorite part of the shows when they were together.

 

Unless they rewrite “I Melt With You” and call it “Automatic” and do that 12 times together.

 

Neighborhoods is a vibe. Gotta listen to that soon.

 

I'd like to hear a version of Neighborhoods that wasn't recorded with an empty tissue box and a few rubber bands.

 

I always disliked Neighborhoods for the production and was obsessed with California when it came out but now after the years….I’ll take Neighborhoods over Nine or Cali any day.Just for that Snake Charmer chorus being so Tom.I’m so happy I grew on Neighborhoods and it only took me like 11 years haha

 

Neighborhoods has like 5 songs I go back to semi regularly but also like 5 songs I wish would disappear from existence.

 

It’s a good night drive album

 

NINE is so far and away better than Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs.

 

I want a version of Neighborhoods where the guitarist cared about listening to the final mixes lol
