Love Josh’s playing. I THINK I figured out the intro/verse but his open handed sticking makes it a bit tougher for me to translate and make it clean!

Very old Coheed video that seemingly just made it to Youtube. For anyone on Long Island, or knows LI venues, this was the Vibe Lounge, which basically holds like 10 people lol

 

6 including the title track, a okay with me. Setlist looks awesome. Would’ve liked an Afterman song or two but what can you do when your discog is this large. Ghost into Blood actually sounds awesome, I love Ghost.

Wish they were playing Comatose instead of Blood, but overall I’m excited for that set! Window live is gonna rule

I think the exclusion of Rise is the most shocking but they played it last year so I get it.

I miss Afterman songs but really can't complain, this slaps.

 

or just switch it for Domino, people would've gone crazy. I'm sure they want to keep the Vaxis continuity going though.

 

I feel like some Vaxis 1 songs never really got the time of day during that touring cycle. Maybe I’m completely wrong, but it feels like most of the hits got a lot of run, but the other songs hardly got any. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I’d love to see Toys, Love Protocol, and All on Fire someday

 

Hmm maybe you're right. I went and looked at my setlist when I last saw them in 2018 (four years ago wtf, doesn't feel like that) and they only play Sentencer, title track, Old Flames and The Gutter. 2019 looks to have brought in True Ugly and The Pavilion. The 2020-2022 tours really leaned heavy into older material, so I think bringing some of those songs back along with the new one makes sense for a Vaxis tour.

 

Yeah I have a difficult time remembering how the touring cycle broke down for that album. I remember they did a co-headliner with Taking Back Sunday the summer before the album came out and then eventually did the It Walks Among Us tour before ultimately ending it with their co-headliner with Mastodon.

They were planning to do the NWFT tour in 2020 and, judging from what Claudio said about Vaxis 2, they probably were gonna buckle down and release Vaxis 2 in 2021 considering it was finished early that year.

That’s why, at this point, I’d rather then cut Dark Sentencer is favored trying to hit something else from that album and, if the song is short enough, they could throw in another song from some other album. It’s a jam for sure though.

 

No Comatose is disapointing but dig it overall

 

According to last.fm, they played The Embers of Fire in between The Gutter and Beautiful Losers, which is…a vibe

 

I wonder if Claudio sings or if that is is just played over a track.

 

seems like an odd choice to not open the set with Embers as the set intro into Beautiful Losers. Also, they didnt play Rise?!?! i'm gonna be sorely bummed if they don't play that at my show lol

 

No afterman is not cool. Scratch blood and ghost and play gravity’s union.

 

Seems odd to do the Vaxis 1 prologue just to play Embers of Fire a couple songs later

 

I’m going to the Forest Hills show and would LOVE if his son came out to sing it! Would be so special if they sang it together
